remotely tour and customize model homes

The National Association of Home Builders reports that the housing market is showing signs of stabilizing in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. It cites an increase in builder confidence in the market for newly built single-family homes in May. And despite recent pandemic-related declines, “single-family starts remain one percent higher for the first four months of the year, compared to the first four months of 2019,” according to the joint NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index.

Kari Tamminga, Product Owner at Paradigm, observes that builders are pulling out all the stops to keep this trend on an upward trajectory, as the economy opens up and homebuyers gradually adjust to making building decisions in uncertain times.

She says virtual home design software like Paradigm Omni is ideally positioned to help builders ease the uncertainty and provide an outlet for the pent up demand that is expected to drive a building revival during the coming months.

“By engaging homebuyers to remotely tour and customize model homes, builders remove some of the barriers to jump-starting the homebuying process…”

Paradigm Omni offers homebuyers a socially distant online home design experience that lets them customize interior and exterior details of their dream home, see how it affects pricing and building allowances, and visualize their selections in photo-realistic settings before building begins.

“By engaging homebuyers to remotely tour and customize model homes, builders remove some of the barriers to jump-starting the homebuying process and close that gap between the first contact and the final contract,” Tamminga explains. “Offering buyers a remote, yet personalized, homebuilding experience demonstrates that builders are still in the game and committed to achieving their buyers’ dreams in these unprecedented times.”
